UK's Family Leisure and Grand
Pier Purchase MaxFlight Simulators
From the West End to Weston-Super-Mare Jaw-Dropping VR Wonder Will Draw Crowds
On appearances, two of the UK's most popular entertainment venues couldn’t be more different. The Grand Pier, a grand classic seaside resort jutting majestically into the ocean, has been delighting families for a century. Funland, at the Trocadero in the heart of London, has all the excitement you'd expect in the center of a world city. Yet these two diverse amusement centers are quite alike, sharing the same philosophy when it comes to family fun; the customer experience is paramount. The installation of two new MaxFlight Virtual Reality Simulators fits this philosophical bill perfectly. Not only giving the customer the very best indoor thrill-ride on the planet, MaxFlight sims offer the jaw-dropping wonder of a crowd-generating super action attraction.
Family Leisure's Funland, at One Piccadilly Circus in the center of London's West End, is adding the MaxFlight FS2000 two-seat dogfight flight simulator to their up-and-running and runaway successful VR2002 Roller Coaster and CyberRun Bobsled simulators. The VR2002 Coaster alone showed an 800% return in its first 12 months of operation. Known as the world's largest indoor family entertainment center, in the famous Trocadero, Funland will now feature three MaxFlight sims, the latest a totally free-swinging totally interactive dogfighting F-16 simulator. The FS2000 lets pilot and gunner careen through a daring VR mission, reacting just as a jet fighter would, including spins, dives, rolls and real upside-down loops. Every enemy and obstacle is shown on a huge 58" screen, and every virtual evasion, attack and maneuver they view is what they actually do.
The Grand Pier, Weston-Super-Mare's "fabulous covered amusement park over the sea" also prides itself on offering the very latest in games and rides. Installing their first MaxFlight sim, the CyberRun Bobsled, Grand Pier patrons will experience an awesome schuss through an amazing frozen VR world. Riders select their own course, piece by piece, and can create the ideal customized ride, from mild to wild. Real wind in the passengers' faces completes a virtually perfect ride, as they truly do every twist, turn, spiral and corkscrew on the coolest ride imaginable. MaxFlight's crowd drawing capacity and full-family appeal should sit quite nicely in the classic amusement setting of the Grand Pier.
MaxFlight, a New Jersey based corporation has perfected the "compact yet big impact attraction" concept. A forward-of-the-axis technology allows full 360-degree movement in two different directions. Developed by former Army helicopter pilot turned inventor Frank McClintic, MaxFlight sims have succeeded all over the world in over 20 countries on every continent. "It is quite an honor to be front and center at both Funland and the Grand Pier," says McClintic. "The class of UK's amusement industry is a fitting place for MaxFlight…each unique, yet completely committed to giving customers the best entertainment value."
MaxFlight (http://www.maxflight.com), a Lakewood, New Jersey-based Corporation with products placed around the planet, is a privately held Company. MaxFlight Corporation designs, manufactures and sells Interactive Ride Systems for the entertainment industry.
