MaxFlight Lands On the Sea
Intrepid Sea Air Space Museum Has New Attraction

Sim things in the air! Two brand new F-16 Falcons are taking off at New York City’s Intrepid Sea Air Space Museum and just about anyone can fly them. It’s not quite the real thing, but as close to flying as you can get on land… or sea. The US Navy’s decommissioned aircraft carrier, the world’s largest floating museum, adds the exciting "G Force Encounter" to its Virtual Flight Zone. MaxFlight’s FS2000 flight simulators are powering this newest attraction inside the Intrepid’s massive Technologies Hall. The "G Force Encounter" enables guests to simulate the feel, thrust and exhilaration of flying a supersonic jet.

MaxFlight Simulators have succeeded worldwide with a first-of-its-kind full motion technology that allows the riders to pilot their craft through complete 360- degree loops and rolls. Once safely strapped in the two-seat enclosed cab, riders are lifted 12 feet into the air and find themselves ‘at the controls’. Each movement of the joystick is actually performed, and what they view is what they do as every bank, dive and spiral through the virtual sky-scape is seen on the huge 58 inch cockpit screen really happens.

Berthed at historic Pier 86 on the mighty Hudson River, the Intrepid Sea Air Space Museum is a magnet for both visitors to Manhattan and city-dwellers alike. This home to many stunning exhibits and special events throughout the year can now boast a premier line-up of flight simulators.

MaxFlight, a New Jersey based corporation, has installed its state-of-the-art simulators on every continent, in close to 25 countries. Their uniquely themed indoor thrill rides, like the VR2002 Roller Coaster, MaxZilla Monster Truck and CyberRun Bobsled ride, feature a guest customized/guest controlled dynamic and a compact, big-impact attraction that draw crowds everywhere.
