The Dynamic Dually Arrives in Safari Land
MaxFlight’s Dual Action Simulator Featured

When Villa Park, Illinois’ Safari Land opens its doors in early October it will have the “Dynamic Dually” as a centerpiece attraction.  A new and different family entertainment center, Safari Land has chosen to feature MaxFlight’s dual action simulator, which gives riders both the ultimate rush and the ultimate choice.

Safari Land, a new 67,000 sq. ft. FEC on the site of a former Montgomery Ward Outlet in the Villa DuPaige shopping center promises to be big and bold. In addition to the MaxFlight Dually ride system, guests will encounter two indoor electric go-kart tracks, a full sized tilt-a-whirl, a children’s soft play area and an impressive selection of arcade games.

MaxFlight’s Dually, a combo unit of their popular FS2000 Flight and VR2002 Roller Coaster Simulators, is designed to offer both interactive and passive experiences. However, don’t let the word passive fool you. The Dually, a fully pilot controlled two-seat flight simulator, can switch to give passengers a hair-raising roller coaster thrill ride like no other on the planet.

The Dually is a slick silver, freestanding compact attraction where two riders climb aboard and securely sit in an enclosed cab.  As the ride begins, they are raised 12 feet into the air where MaxFlight’s unique free-swinging, full-motion simulator can take them in complete 360-degree spins, spirals and loops.  In the FS2000 Flight Simulator mode, the riders are in total control, piloting the craft through a series of dogfights, maneuvers and missions, avoiding enemies and obstacles.  Every move of the controls is truly re-created and every bank and dive is genuine.  Pilot and gunner can switch duties at the press of a button on the joystick.

Passengers can choose their own ride in the VR2002 Roller Coaster Simulator mode.  They select various track sections and piece together their journey through a futuristic space asteroid or sit back and enjoy a live action roller coaster.  Each drop and twist riders see before them on a huge 58” screen is what actually happens with MaxFlight’s what-you-view-is-what-you-do technology. Riders even feel the wind in their faces.

MaxFlight Corporation, a New Jersey-based creator of a full line-up of simulators, has placed FS2000 and VR2002 ride systems in entertainment centers on six continents.  Safari Land’s Dually now combines the best of both worlds; offering guests the most complete interactive flight simulator experience and the best indoor virtual hold-on-to-your-hats roller coaster thrill ride.
