MaxFlight Teams Up With Toyota at Daytona USA
MaxFlight's newest simulator is now featured at DAYTONA USA, the interactive motorsports attraction located at Florida’s historic speedway. TOYOTA TUNDRA’S THUNDER ROAD is a two-seat, totally rider-controlled simulator, depicting a thrill-filled fantasy ride around Daytona International Speedway. Guests can take the Toyota Truck for a spin, literally, with MaxFlight’s first-of-its-kind 360-degree full-motion technology.
DAYTONA USA is a high-tech, multi-million dollar entertainment facility, featuring hands-on activities and interactive shows, exploring the advanced technology and historical elements of speed, racing and the Daytona International Speedway. Designated the official attraction of NASCAR, DAYTONA USA has incorporated a vast array of high-energy experiences designed to appeal to everyone, regardless of their racing knowledge or enthusiasm.
This double customization marks a special step in MaxFlight’s continuing development of world-class simulators. While MaxFlight has created a virtual air force of individual aircraft for their flight simulators, this is the first time MaxFlight built a specific land-vehicle model; Toyota has sponsored the recreating of the Tundra. The brawny pick-up is the most massive truck in Toyota’s line. MaxFlight also developed customized software, depicting the famously high banks of the Daytona track, with added loops to utilize the complete upside-down flip and spin capabilities of MaxFlight’s unique technology. Drivers aren’t along for the ride; they are the ride as they control all the action. The historic speedway unfolds on a huge 58-inch screen inside the enclosed cab, and every twist, turn and spill the driver does is truly recreated.
TOYOTA TUNDRA’S THUNDER ROAD is the located next to the FORD MOTORCRAFT PIT STOP COMPETITION at DAYTONA USA and joins motion rides ACCELERATION ALLEY and DAYTONA DREAM LAPS to form one of the most formidable simulator lineups in the country. Attached to the speedway in Daytona Beach, DAYTONA USA prides itself on both its entertainment value and its educational outreach, offering thrills as well as a comprehensive content-based learning experience.
“We’re delighted with Toyota’s involvement in DAYTONA USA,” said Mike Manning, DAYTONA USA’s General Manager. “The TOYOTA TUNDRA THUNDER ROAD simulator by MaxFlight, has been a great addition and is quickly becoming one of the most popular activities for guests at DAYTONA USA.”
“We are thrilled to be teamed with both Toyota and DAYTONA USA,” says Frank McClintic, President and CEO of the New Jersey based MaxFlight Corporation. “It illustrates how our simple concept of full-motion rider-controlled simulation can fit into every venue.” MaxFlight Corporation manufactures a full line of simulators including Monster Truck, Roller Coaster and Bobsled simulators and has placed units in over 25 countries on six continents. Venues include amusement parks, family entertainment centers, museums, shopping centers, multiplexes and casinos.
